Tony’s core belief– that hard work can overcome any obstacle (Aconcagua’s summit aside), served him well in starting and growing Planet Tan into one of the most successful regional businesses in the United States. It also saw him through the writing and publication of his award-winning business book, Selling Sunshine, and finishing the New York City Marathon in less than 3 hours.

As a father, Tony feels a deep responsibility for the world that has given him such opportunity. He’s committed to “giving back,” not just with his checkbook but through active involvement. He serves on the boards of numerous business education organizations and has invested in and mentored prominent incubators by working with their young entrepreneurs..
