Every bottle of Seed Wine starts with master winemaker Giuseppe Franceschini’s distinctive award-winning touch. With Seed, he has the opportunity to oversee every step of the winemaking process, from the growing of the finest Malbec grapes in the world, through harvest, crush, aging, and bottling. The results are exquisite.

“Great wine is the perfect link connecting the best work of nature with the best work of man.”

Born in Padua, Italy, Giuseppe found his calling—wine and all that goes into making it—at an early age. He studied oenology at the University of Udine, and his irrepressible spirit led him to apprenticeships with the great winemakers of Veneto, Friuli, Sicily, and Mendoza. From these artisans, he absorbed the different philosophies and styles that combine to make him one of the most creative, passionate winemakers in the world.

He won several gold medals at Concours Mundial de Bruxelles for his work at wineries in Mendoza and Italy. His Bacan Malbec 2007 was recognized as one of the best of 60 wines of Argentina from Austral Spectator Wine Guide. His Pinot Noir Saltimabanco scored 93 to 95 points (Wine Advocate, Guia Penin, Tim Atkin). And his Cabernet Sauvignon from Bodega Caelum scored 94 points (Guia Penin)

Giuseppe Franceschini, Winemaker

Giuseppe brings a unique blend of Old and New World philosophies to his winemaking, an amalgam of every mentor and all the great regions he has experienced. These influences, along with his innate creativity, have enabled him to elevate Malbec to an entirely new level. When you taste Seed Wine, you experience the best of Mendoza, given new life through Giuseppe’s art.

Giuseppe doesn’t like to brag so we’ll brag for him. Here’s a short list some of the award winning wines he’s helped create:
